3. Working Principle
(1) Feeding part
Oil materials such as peanuts enter the feed port of the screw oil press through conveying equipment (such as a feed hopper or feeder). After feeding, the raw materials will enter the screw pressing area.
(2) Screw propulsion
The core part of the screw oil press is the screw shaft. The screw shaft is driven by an electric motor and starts to rotate, pushing the peanuts into the screw pressing area. As the screw shaft rotates, the raw materials are continuously compressed in the spiral groove and the volume gradually decreases.
(3) Pressing process
During the pressing process, the oil in the peanuts is gradually squeezed by the screw shaft and begins to flow out. There is a large pressure at the front end of the screw shaft (oil pressing area), and the oil in the peanuts is gradually squeezed into a small groove to form oil liquid.
(4) Oil and residue separation
The squeezed oil flows out through the oil tank and oil pipe and enters the oil storage container. The remaining peanut residue continues to move forward and is eventually discharged from the other end of the oil press. The peanut residue is usually squeezed into a relatively dry solid, which is convenient for subsequent processing or use as a by-product.
(5) Temperature control and heating
During the operation of the screw oil press, temperature control is crucial. Appropriate temperature can improve oil extraction efficiency and reduce oil loss. Some oil presses are equipped with a heating device to heat the peanut raw materials during the oil extraction process, making it easier to release oil.
(6) Filtration and refining (optional)
Some oil presses are equipped with a filtering device to further filter out impurities and residues to obtain cleaner oil. At this time, the peanut oil can also go through a refining process to remove excess impurities, pigments and odors to improve the quality of the oil.
