1. The Roche foam meter must be installed vertically, otherwise the liquid surface will be uneven and the reading will be inaccurate. 2. The test solution should be preheated to about 41.5ºC before being placed in the dropper. The temperature during formal operation after injection should be 40ºC±0.5, otherwise the temperature will have a great impact on the data. 3. The foam activity of some solutions is very unstable. After a few minutes, the foam surface will break and become an uneven surface. At this time, the height reading can only be an estimated average number.
